The starting point of Jordan's basketball career at Laney High School in Wilmington, but the young Jordan was unremarkable. In his second year, he was only 5 feet 11 inches tall, thin and small. He was dropped from the first team by the coach. into the second team. However, Jordan did not give up. By the time of his senior year, he was selected to the All-American high school team.
