Langya henipavirus (LayV): New virus detected in China infects 35 people!

Nearly three dozen people in China have been sickened by a newly identified virus. The Novel Langya Henipavirus (LayV) was likely transmitted from animals to humans. Scientists feel LayV likely emerged in shrews, small mammals, who then passed it on.
