First responders are enacting real change locally and pledging that "children and teachers will be protected at all costs," while Democratic politicians have resorted to restricting the rights of law-abiding residents to purportedly combat the threats of violent offenders. Due to the implementation of "tactical preparedness" for school resource deputies, Florida's Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey declared on Tuesday that moving forward, the schools in his region will become "hard targets."

Following the Robb Elementary School tragedy in Uvalde, Texas, in which 19 children and two teachers were killed, lawmakers seized the chance to push through gun control laws that did not address the underlying reasons of the slaughter. Additionally, inquiries continue concerning the local law enforcement's reluctance to confront the issue head-on.
