BPD is NO LONGER Too Difficult To Manage

People with Bordeline Personality Disorder (BPD) used to be considered the most difficult to work with because the illness was too complex. That's beginning to change now, thanks to some emerging practices and therapies.

Carissa has over a decade of lived experience with Borderline Personality Disorder. She was in and out of hospitals for 12 years before she discovered dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) which she says saved her life. She is now a mental health peer support worker helping others navigate their recovery journeys. In this video we talk about how she started her own peer support group and all of the challenges that came along with that. We also discuss how BPD can affect personal and intimate relationships and the steps she needed to take to learn how to enjoy healthy relationships.
