Get On the Stick. It's time to get on the stick. What I'm calling "The Stick" is a vertical axis wind turbine shaft that uses opposing magnetic fields as a thrust bearing. The absence of a physical bearing eliminates friction between the stationary and moving parts. A variety of PMA's will mount to the stick, and the stick also utilizes a 2 to 1 pulley system which will double the RPM of any permanent magnet alternator mounted to the stick.
