Being ridden in a bit so sharp it has scarred her face 14/07/2019

He rode her with a rope halter underneath - it had a broken clip hanging off it, so that adds confusion about what is behind her mouth. I'm pretty sure there was a chain running behind her mouth.
The sides of her lips were chapped and cracking and the bit left marks. I was horrified. It was not a good position to be in, having my horses on this property. I did not pay for this man to break her. I then said I didn't want him to touch my horse again, of course the woman I paid got him to handle her (manhandle her).
When I got her back she would look at me straight on, but lean with her head towards the left like there was something wrong with her neck.
She was nervous about being approached on the left side.

In a round yard, she was so terrified, she was trembling with fear, she pulled the cattle yard panels with her to escape from him. He picked up a feed bucket and hit her over the back. I was horrified. I wanted to take her with my other horses. She had an infected leg from him locking her in a round yard with a horse of mine that kicks lower horses (and he knew that). They locked them in there for 36 hours together. He was putting lotion on her leg by using ropes. I was in a dilemma, I didn't know anyone who could get lotion onto an "unhandled" horse's leg and leaving her there to at least get treatment on her leg or to take her. It makes me feel sick. This was after I had paid them to handle her and break her in.

I regret allowing these people to handle my horses. I don't like using bits. I put trust in them despite my gut telling me not to.
It's the horse that suffered.
These people make me sick and I make myself sick for allowing this to happen!
I'm so angry I cannot articulate it.
