Super close up look at a Bearded Hen turkey!

Join me for a little fun and mystery with this WILD turkey that has been hanging around our Illinois homestead for quite some time now and pecking at it's reflection in the windows. We've had some mixed ideas on whether this is a true TOM turkey, i.e. a 'male' bird, or whether it is a BEARDED HEN, which is a female turkey but with the 'beard,' which is usually a male turkey trait.
