In Part 2 of a 3-part series, Andrew regales us with more studio stories, recording wisdom, alternate tunings, musical influences, and one of his favorite funky instruments.

He shares a Trinity College Irish Bouzouki. The long-scale instrument features 8-strings in four courses, reminiscent of a large mandolin.

Hear it in the context of two recordings from Andrew's studio: the middle-eastern influenced "Chanting Names" by Mathew Mars and the folk-pop song "Better Together" by Kate LeDrew.

To top things off, Robert and Andrew have an impromptu jam, featuring the Bouzouki and Robert's Martin Backpacker, in Nashville high-strung tuning.
