Topic: Today, Jesus gives us the imagery of grains of wheat, the necessity for it to die and fall onto the soil, in order for it to serve its purpose - of growing more grain or being used as food. The same goes for us, in order for us to serve our purpose and live a life that is fulfilling, we must give up our lives - a life all about ‘me’ - for a life of others. Sometimes it’s hard to think we can help others when we find ourselves struggling to help ourselves. But we have sooo much more to offer than we think! It’s not all about giving money or things. The most valuable part of ourselves that we can give is our love - our quality time, our lending hand, our listening ear. When we open up that door to helping others, we open up the floodgate of heavenly gifts that will not only help us help others more, but our personal lives are ever more blessed! It’s something I’ve seen (and continue to see) happen in my life and in countless others! I pray that it’s something that you get to experience yourself too! We pray that the Lord shows us what it is that we can offer and show us who we can help with the gifts God gave us :)
