Throughout this mini-series, we have discussed prayer as the key for the transformation of a society that has wandered from God. It is our job as believers to pray for all people and all government leaders if we want to lead peaceful lives in this country. And the primary thing that we should pray for is not political victories and cultural transformation, but that every individual would come to know God through Jesus Christ. As Paul moves on from this particular topic in his epistle to Timothy, he summarizes all that he has said before in verse 8: "I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting."
