Surat Al-Baqarah is the longest chapter of the Qur’an, its verses 286, and its second order in the Qur’an after Surat Al-Fatihah. A verse that came down from heaven, and was revealed on the Day of Sacrifice in the Farewell Pilgrimage in Mina, and the verses of usury are also among the earliest revelations of the Qur’an. It is called Fustat al-Qur'an. Khalid bin Ma'dan said it. This is due to its greatness and splendor, and the abundance of its rulings and exhortations. The surah contains the 255th verse of the Kursi, which is the greatest verse in the Qur'an. On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: “The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entrusted me to memorize the zakat of Ramadan, so he came to me and started urging food, so I took it and said, ‘I will raise you to the Messenger of God. And he is a lie, that is a demon.” It also has the longest verse in the Qur'an, the verse of the city.
