Hundreds attend 'Hands off our Kids' Rally in Dublin

Hundreds of people attended a Rally in Kildare Street in Dublin Today calling on the resignation of Roderic O'Gorman and against the sexualization of Children in Schools and Compulsory RSE .Show more

The rally was sparked by controversy surrounding the New Children's Minister Roderic O'Gorman and his associations with Englishman Peter Tatchell , an LGBT activist in England who has advocated in support of legalising pedophilia and has had links with the pedophile information exchange in Britian .

Addressing the large crowd was Actor and Filmmaker John Connors who gave a passionate keynote speech defending the innocence of children . Mr Connors questioned the Minister's priorities asking why the Children's Minister decided his first priority would be sexual transitional therapy for children ... "why was it not ending child poverty or ending child homelessness" asked Connors to rapturous applause . Connors went on to ask why an organisation called educate and celebrate whom peter tatchell is patron of , is advising teachers in Ireland on how to exclude Parents from their child's sex education .

The first thing he tackles when he becomes minister for children , the most important thing he says is for children to have access to sexual transitional therapy , thats the first thing , not end child poverty in Ireland , not end child homeless in Ireland , he didn't say I'm going to make sure that children are not living in a hostel , they're not going to be living in a hotel or parks or in tents , no they have easier access to an operation thats very serious and irreversible and thats why Roderic o'gorman is not fit to be minister for children. [pause .. applause from crowd .. followed by shouts of out out out out]

we have to ask why Peter Tatchell wrote in the irish Independent about lowering the age of consent in Ireland , we have to ask why Peter Tatchell in february gone spoke in the free derry museum , a place i love , why was he speaking there , why did peter tatchell get a James Joyce award from the University College Dublin , these people are becoming a part of our establishment , make no mistake this is the establishment against everyone else.

Lets be clear what the agenda is , theres an organisation called educate and celebrate , these advised irish teachers how to exclude Irish Parents from their own children's sexual education. Peter Tatchell is the patron of that organisation , thats what we're inviting into the irish establishment , so what I'm saying here to the people of Ireland , never stop questioning , never stop defending our children and never stay silent
