Ukraine - Some background on "poking the bear"

I don't know much about the geopolitics of Ukraine, but at least what I know isn't mere Western propaganda. I don't feel worried in Finland (I hope this ages well) as the situation in Ukraine is clearly the result of treaty-breaking NATO expansion, the corruption of Ukraine and the war against it's Russian speaking population. The golden rule applied to international politics would've sufficed to prevent the situation.

Perhaps an Eastern-Block Defensive Buffer-Union would be in order.
