Single Black Women Identify with Barack and Michele's 'Love'

Clip from Sunday Service, December 7, 2008: Jesse Lee Peterson speaks on two problems in the black community and among all races in America today. First, Jesse notices that black people, especially black women, get a false identity from new President-elect Barack Obama and his wife Michelle. These women say they want the kind of love that Barack and Michelle have — not knowing the hell that takes place behind closed doors. You should never get your identity from your outer environment, not the preacher, politician, star, money, or being black. But your pride has you identify with the wrong things.

The second thing Jesse Lee read about recently: 50-percent of women overall, and 70-percent of black women will never marry, according to a study. Most women want to marry and have a family, but the men are so weak today — especially black men, but all other races as well. This makes the problem worse for those women and men who are looking to bad examples like Barack and Michelle Obama for love. Jesse wouldn’t want the kind of love the Obamas have — Barack is weak; he calls his wife the boss, the backbone of the family.

And where is the love from the white people who see blacks are wrong for identifying with blackness and with weak people like Obama? Why don’t whites speak out and tell the truth, that blacks are too excited about an evil man? Whites have fear, so they don’t have love. These things are why you must be born again, so that you can see it’s a spiritual battle, and not physical. Then God takes away your ego, and He gives you His identity as his son or daughter. But until then, you will suffer as Obama is.
