Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders held a rally just outside of Manhattan at Queensbridge Park in Long Island City, New York. In his first major campaign event since having a heart attack, he talked about Medicare-for-all, free public colleges and tuition, reforming the criminal justice system and combating climate change. He also thanked people for their support during his recent health issues, declaring “I am back.” Introducing Sen. Sanders was Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), who officially endorsed the Senator’s presidential campaign during the rally.
