Russian airlines, including state-controlled Aeroflot, are stripping planes to secure spare parts which they can no longer buy abroad due to Western sanctions, Reuters reported. At least one Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 and an Airbus A350 are reportedly currently grounded and being disassembled. An engine from one Superjet has also been removed to allow another Superjet to continue flying.
