Trump Announces Aid for Christians and Other Minorities in Syria

After facing criticism from Christian leaders over his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, President Donald Trump defended the decision in front of an audience at Values Voter Summit.

The new influx of funds will be used for “stabilization assistance for Syria to protect persecuted ethnic and religious minorities, and advance human rights,” according to the White House.
