Is Star Wars Moving Away from the Skywalkers a Good Thing?

Kathleen Kennedy reported that Star Wars will be moving away from the Skywalker saga in their future endeavors. What exacty does that mean? No more Skywalker saga movies, sure. But, how much are they really moving away from these characters? What is their plan?
Most Star Wars fans recognize a Skywalker as the greatest Star Wars hero of all. Maybe the problem isn't SKYWALKERS at all, but Storytelling. Let's weigh in.
