Hear me when I cry, O God of my righteousness, in distress you have given me breadth; have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
Children of men, how long will you turn my glory into disgrace? How long will you love vanity and seek lies?
Know therefore that the Lord has set apart for himself him that is pious; the Lord will hear when I cry to him.
Be troubled and do not sin; speak with your heart upon your bed, and be silent.
Offer sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the Lord.
Many say: Who will show us good? Lord, exalt the light of your countenance upon us.
You put joy in my heart, more than in the time when wheat and wine multiplied.
In peace I will also lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
