Psalms 5

Give ear to my words, O Lord, attend to my meditation.
Heed the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to you I will pray.
In the morning thou shalt hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I will present my prayer to you, and I will watch.
For thou art not a God that delighteth in iniquity, neither shall evil dwell with thee.
Fools will not stop at your sight; you hate all who do evil.
Thou shalt destroy those who speak lies; the Lord will hate the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
But I will come into your house in the greatness of your lovingkindness; and in your fear I will bow down to your holy temple.
Lord, guide me in your righteousness, because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.
Because there is no righteousness in their mouths; his bowels are true evils, his throat is an open sepulcher; flatter with their tongue.
Declare them guilty, O God; fall by their own advice; cast them out because of the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against you.
But let all those who trust in you rejoice; rejoice for ever, because you defend them; and in you let those who love your name glory.
For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; you will surround him with your kindness like a shield.
