Living in a construction zone sucks... // The Homestead #

painting, painting, painting. it's all we do. and when it's in the kitchen it's the worst because it's not a room that we can't use while we live here. so we have to make food, clean up, pack away, then roll out the paint. living in a construction zone sucks because it's so much extra work. it takes it's toll with the extra mental task of having to prepare to do something. because painting is not that bad once you are doing it, but the prep is something I can easily put off to do more interesting projects. either way paint these rooms is important to us so that we can feel like we have our own place. it feels great to be able to feel the freedom that comes along with being land owners. living in Vans and talking to older folks who got into Vanlife, I always thought that being on the road was freedom because it is to them. but living in a van has either been a traveling thing, or a stepping stone thing for me. I guess what I'm saying is it feels good to be home.
