Today on the homestead we start exploring my flipped sod garden beds for planting garlic before winter. I talk about one of the tips I learned the hard ways when making multiple rows of flipped lawn raised beds. the reason I went with this method is because of how efficient it is at turning lawn space into raised beds. by covering the grass from getting any sunlight the grass will die and leave it's nutrients in the soil for whatever you end up planting. Emily then joins me outside and we pick the rest of the apples off our granny smith apple tree. then we have some fun picking crabapples by shaking them off the branches. Emily then helps me build the roof of our new composter. this composter Is a huge improvement over the black bin that was on the property when we bought it. it will also serve as a leaf storage space. We then make a ton of garlic toast with the left over garlic from the last vlog. We also had a van dweller stay in our driveway over night for the first time, and we film a tour video the next morning.
