Episode 9 of The Homestead. today we lay some flooring down in the master bedroom, and I also talk about how I'm going to deal with plastic waste in house. there's a lot of packaging on materials when you are renovating and most of them can't be recycled and if they are the recycling program in most countries are joke anyways. So I decided to use a technique I learned from a grass roots recycling facility I visited in Taiwan called an eco brick. an eco brick is a technique of using plastic bottles in place of a brick. the bottles can be filled with anything from soil to plastic. in my case I use the least recyclable plastic, soft plastic. I show you my technique on how to stuff a brick and I talk about what I plan to make with them on the homestead when I have enough of them.
