First walk around of our Homesteading property + Exposing hardwood floors!! // The Homestead #2

In this Video we start by taking a first real look of the land that our homestead is on, its 1.3 acres of previously cared for lawn and garden. There are a lot of perennials planted, like Raspberries, crabapple trees, and eating apple trees. There are also a row of large balsam poplar trees (biggest trees I've seen in Ontario and a nice taste of my home province of BC.) Because our realtor felt bad about the seller situation when we took possession (watch previous vlog for details) he paid for someone to come and cut our lawn, so before that person arrives i wanted to walk around and collect wild edibles and herbs from the overgrown wild lawn. I mostly picked Self heal and Plantain.

Then we went inside the farmhouse and continued to rip the carpets out, and much like everyone hopes when it comes to farmhouse restoration there was hardwood underneath the carpet and linoleum!!
