Avatar Mountain or Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

We began our trip from Guangzhou railway station, taking a soft-sleeper train. This train ride takes almost 14 hours and costs 300 RMB ($42). There is no AC on this train, only a fan.
We arrived to Zhangjiajie railway station at 5:35 am, and went to a Zhangjiajie bus station. Which is located very close, about 150 meters from the railway station, and it will be on your left. We atook a bus to Wulinguan. It costs 13 RMB ($1.8) per person, and you’ll get there in about 50 minutes, depends on the traffic.
We didn’t book a hotel, we did it on the spot. We found the Hotel “Simple House”, which costs $50 per night (400 RMB), the room is nice a big, we love it.
We checked in to the hotel and went back to Wulianguan bus station. There are several buses that will take you to different locations. We are taking the bus to Zhangjiajie National Forest park main entrance. It costs 10 RMB ($1.4) per person and takes about 40 minutes to get there.
The entrance ticket cost 228 RMB ($32) per person and valid for 4 days.
We began our hike around 10:30 am and went by Golden Whip Stream to Water Winding Four Gates. This is 5 km walk, mostly flat all the time. From Water Winding Four Gates we took a free shuttle bus to Bailong Elevator. The entrance ticket to the Bailong Elevator costs 65 RMB ($9). The line took 1 hour, and the elevator ride was 2 minutes.
We got to the top and walked (followed the signs) to another shuttle bus parking lot, and took a shuttle bus to Yangjiajie Scenic Area. There walked around, saw the “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” and many other scenic spots.
From there we decided to walk down by foot to the same entrance we came in. It took us exactly 2 house to get there.
We had several stops along the way for lunch and snacks. Prices are okay, the food is good. BUT the toilets are horrible everywhere. They have no water, nothing.
When we got down we took the same 10 RMB ($1.4) bus back to the Hotel.

This is our DAY 1 in Avatar Mountain!
