DIY wall mount for microphone in home studio | The homestead S2 E9

Another DIY build for you! this time I experiment with what is possible to use for a wall mount for the microphone in my home studio. I wanted a wall mounted system because the size of the studio is pretty small and having a regular stand would end up taking up precious square footage. I used a mounting arm from small rig that is designed for a light or microphone attachment on a camera setup. I then attached it to a small piece of 3/4 inch plywood by drilling a small hole and manually screwing the tripod mount from the mounting arm into it. the threads created their own grooves in the wood and surprisingly hold well. I was wondering if that would work haha. I then screwed the plywood to an existing stud in the wall and hid most of it with acoustic foam. looks good and more importantly sounds good.
