Our First Off Grid Solar Setup on The Homestead. | keeping it simple E36 S1

After removing 3 100 watt solar panels off the roof of our motorhome I decided I wanted to start being able to charge my portable Battery generator with solar, so I started to run the existing wires into our semi-heated cellar which will be the charging location for the temperature sensitive lithium batteries. I used jumper cables because they are easy to disconnect and reconnect (and I already had them.) Whenever not in use I also have to disconnect the solar panel from the charge controller. It's a simple setup that I have since made safer by adding inline fuses between the battery and inverter, and the solar panel and battery to the charge controller. This is just a temporary solution to get us through winter, until we create some kind of solar shed on the homestead.
