CAREFUL, MODS ARE DISABLED [EXCEPT AUGMENTED MODS] IN GRENDEL MISSIONS!

This mission is quite tricky. There are too many factors which are influenced by your luck. Spawn placement for the Excavators, enough Energy Orbs to get, Enemies don't focus your Excavators, and so on. If you attempt this, it might require several trials.

Frame: Nidus

This mission took me more time to rethink my approach. I tried going for Limbo, Frost etc. the types who can focus on defense specific. I saw people mentioning Limbo works well but it's tedious and takes a while to get it done for my taste. I wanted a Frame that can defend and attack at the same time with a little bit of Crowd Control, Survival. Everything points to Nidus with his Maggots.
His Skill 4 is just too good, however it requires a little bit of control and management with his passive stacks to make it happen. Energy orbs are based on your luck on how often the enemies/crates drop it. Additionally his passive regeneration keeps him alive and makes it good for surviving enemy attacks. Let's not forget, if you manage to stack up at least 15 Mutation stacks it can trigger the "Undying" passive effect, to prevent your death. If you aren't confident enough, I would recommend to collect Energy Orbs before starting every each new Excavator if possible, to maximize your efficency. Sadly not even i can protect every Excavator as shown in the video. With Skill 4 inside the Mutation field additionaly gives you more regeneration, which makes survival even better.

Primary: Ogris

Optional use. This was supposed to be used as an explosive with the Napalm Mod to create fire orbs around the impact points, so that enemies are affect by heat procs. Enemy under heat procs will flail around in panic for a short amount of time. This is meant as a form of alternative way to use as a Crowd Control. I never needed it.

Secondary: Tomb Finger Kitgun

Same concept wit Ogris, only with Radiation instead of the Heat Proc.

Melee: Nami Skyla Prime

(Alternative: Pathocyst might work in theory. It can spawn Maggots and it helps to some extent, but the Base value with Attack speed is 0.667, which is very slow)
So in this Mission Nami Skyla fits well. Since we don't have any time limit, except for the Excavator timer to run out, i can take all the time i need to finish off the enemies closing in. Basically, build up your Combo Counter or later on use the Air Charged Slam Attack to widely kill off enemies which aren't clustered together. Later on it will start to really get hard to kill them one by one around starting with 400/800 Excavation points (15:00), at this time around the Bursa variants will show up and can completely mess you up. Not to mention the Corpus Tech. All 2 have a lot of HP and are hard to deal. This is where Nami Skyla comes in. The attack speed base value is 1.33 which is fairly high for a weapon. Additionally it has a very good Base Value Status chance with 30%. This is very important so you can trigger the Slash Proc, in theory every 3rd hit. This adds another means to take down the enemies using the slash procs. You will notice, later on i mixed my attack against Bursa switching between normal melee strikes and using Air Charge Slam Attack to surpress them. This only works because of the Maggots that keep spawning from Skill 4 which allows you to focus on one enemy where the Maggots will attack any other surrounding enemies.
Make sure to kill the Ospreys immediately since they will constantly deploy Orbs with pulsing AoE damage and that can affect your Excavator. Best way to take those out instantly is using the Air Charged Slam Attack. If a Nullifier shows up and there aren't many enemies around you, you can slowly wittle down the bubble with Primary, Secondary or Melee and then kill him off or you go straight dive down on him with Air Charged Slam Attack. It usually instantly kills them.
