WHO Chief Calls Monkeypox Outbreak a Global Emergency

The head of the World Health Organization declared on Saturday that the global monkeypox outbreak "represents a public health emergency of international concern." Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus overruled a divided expert panel to issue the group's highest alert.
