Man lives in van through Cold Canadian Winter in a basic DIY build. Van Tour + Mini documentary.

Mike has lived in his simple low budget diy cargo van camper conversion since February and through a Canadian winter in Ontario. I talk to him about the challenges he faced and the benefits he finds in Vanlife as he tours me through his van build. he used furniture from the apartment he left and a few simple DIY tricks to make the space liveable. for the first while of his van dwelling he had no heater, but eventually bought and installed a diesel heater with its own fuel tank and he loves how dry and warm it is and finds it works fantastic even without any insulation in his camper van build. A big reason for him to move into the van was to not have to pay rent, but now that he has a community of friends that also live in the van he finds that they help encourage him to find more reasons to love Vanlife, like the ability to get away and enjoy nature!
