Testing the Century 2202 Bay Boat in John's Pass Florida

There is a gift from me to you in the second half of this video, so be sure to watch the whole thing.

Its time to get the new boat in the water and get some fish in it! We launched from Indian Shores Park BLVD boat ramp and test the boat in the John's Pass Area.

With 5 group 31 batteries and two adults, the boat hit a top speed of 46 mph on the gauge. Not bad! The old top speed for my F115 powered sportsman was 36 mph. 10 mph quicker and a whole lot more grunt to get up out of the hole with alot of weight. The trim tabs on this new boat are very helpful at planing out.

The livewells on this boat are a huge improvement over the old one. After adding a different drain strainer, there has been not a single clog. I used to have to clear clogs and fix overflows in the old boat.

The new Simrad GO XSE 9 has tons of cool features and I can't wait to do a full review on the unit. I am loving the side scan so far.
