THE gods HAVE COME DOWN!

For even if there are so-called gods,
whether in heaven or on earth
(as there are many gods and many lords),
yet for us there is one God, the Father,
of whom are all things, and we for Him;
and one Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom are all things,
and through whom we live.

Against all the gods of Egypt
I will execute judgments:
I am Yahweh.
(Exodus 12:12)

The children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh,
and served the Baals;
and they forsook Yahweh, the God of their fathers,
who brought them out of the land of Egypt,
and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples
who were round about them,
and bowed themselves down to them:
and they provoked Yahweh to anger.
They forsook Yahweh,
and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.
(Judges 2:11-13)

The children of Israel again did that
which was evil in the sight of Yahweh,
and served the Baals, and the Ashtaroth,
and the gods of Syria,
and the gods of Sidon,
and the gods of Moab,
and the gods of the children of Ammon,
and the gods of the Philistines;
and they forsook Yahweh,
and didn't serve him.
