Why the Navy Seals adopted the Glock 19 to replace the Sig P226 MK25

Guns used by the Navy Seals and by other military special forces are often sought after by gun enthusiasts and collectors. The Glock 19 and the Sig Sauer P226 MK25 are both used by the Navy Seals and other special operations units.

The reason the Seals decided to go with the Glock 19 instead of continuing with the Sig P226 has a lot to do with financial reasons and not just because they believe it to be a better gun. Both are very good quality firearms and both are in service around the world with special forces and military personnel.
