Half Moon Bay, California – On May 5, 2020 at approximately 7:30 p.m., San Mateo Sheriff Deputies were called to the 800 block of Main Street about 7:25 p.m. for a report of a woman, identified as Sandra Lee Harmon, 56, carrying a shotgun and a bottle of wine.

Upon arrival, deputies gave her multiple verbal commands to drop her weapon. She did not comply and fired her shotgun at deputies. Deputies returned fire, striking the woman.

Harmon was taken to a hospital, where she died of her injuries.
