About two years ago, I had an epiphany - hubby and I used to enjoy the program Two Broke Girls. I considered it edgy adult humor, with two single women who engaged in stuff we'd normally consider unacceptable. What happened is - I realized humor was being used to make that formerly unacceptable behavior acceptable! Our tolerance for things when they are presented with humor has been pushed to make us accept them as normal . . . that included lying, making disparaging comments, casual sexual encounters, and more. I watch people in these "protests" today - and realize we're in the middle of a breakdown in our civilization. Courtesy is irrelevant; feelings are everything, and facts are just in the way.
