I have learned a few things about Mark as a co-worker for the last six or so years.
He is a Family Man. Family is first and foremost in his life. He often talked and thought about ways to help his family. Once you were "in" his family circle, it is for life. Be it, fiance', kids, stepkids, inlaws or ex-in-laws, etc., he wants the best and will do what he can.
What you see is what you get. With no apologies offered (or needed), Mark leaves little to wonder. No hidden snake is waiting to strike. But a friend willing to do what he can.
He will give of himself for the best of others. Not a selfish man, but will take it on the chin to help someone. And willing to lay one on a chin if needed to help a friend or family.
He is interested to learn. Not a know-it-all, though offering much insight, he wants to know the hows and whys thing is and what they can be.
When Jesus was asked what one should do to be "righteous," He responded with the Good Samaritan parable and said, "Go do likewise." Mark has "done likewise," and it is my prayer for health and healing for Mark so that he can continue to "do likewise" with vigor for years to come.
Tonight I would like to offer and lead a Prayer Meditation for the Healing Health Of Mark Albright.
