Learn About Seismic Data Acquisition: A Complete Course
Understanding different 2D and 3D onshore and offshore acquisition methods will help the participants learn more.
Improve the quality control skills of the participants so that they can be better supervised and the acquisition parameters can be made better.
Learn the ideas, skills, and useful tools you’ll need to give high-quality input data to cutting-edge processes.
By concentrating on efficient data collection parameters, supervisory approaches are enhanced.
The firm’s ability to more accurately assess the seismic survey’s cost and maximize spending eventually adds value to the firm.
To get people from different fields to work together more, they should know what the limits of the different seismic data sets are.
Requirements
Participants must be familiar with the fundamentals of seismic techniques and geophysics.
Description
This lesson will begin with the waveform, wavefront, wave properties, and course goals. It will then introduce the fundamentals of the reflection seismic approach. The delegates will learn about the most up-to-date methods for collecting data onshore, offshore, and in the transition zone, such as Ocean Bottom Cable (OBC) data acquisition. They will also learn how to choose the acquisition parameters and calculate field statics in their operations and different conditions.
The goal of the training is to strengthen the participants’ acquisition supervision abilities by emphasizing the key theoretical underpinnings and the approach to QC at each stage, allowing for in-depth conversations with the acquisition contractors and improving its parameters.
People with limited prior knowledge of geophysical reflection techniques are the target audience for this course. The course’s main goal is to teach students how to choose and improve the settings for seismic data acquisition in a professional way.
Who this course is for:
This course is for geophysicists or geologists who collect and process seismic data for oil and gas exploration or any other team interpretation.
