All is calm All is white

(update: Well now, it looks like the roads are bad enough that all of the local schools have canceled classes for today. I've retired and I wasn't scheduled to sub today, but I still can't help checking the school closings! Old habits and whatnot...)
This garden episode is for you, Josh! You told me I should take a video of the garden covered in snow--I didn't have to wait as long as I'd thought!

Lori Fiechter here with another post-garden, garden update. Normally, leaves should fall before the snow does; but Indiana weather is capricious. Indiana weather doesn't pay attention to calendar dates of fall and winter. I mean, we seldom have a white Christmas and here we have a white "two weeks before Thanksgiving!"

Here are a couple of short videos, taken two days apart with snow-covered leaves on apple trees and blackberry plants and dead zinnia stems. Welcome to Indiana, folks!

By next week, this will all be melted again.
postscript: The (funeral) hymn I mentioned is titled "Where the Roses Never Fade" --not "never die". I realized it as soon as I listened to the video. Just in case anyone else noticed...
