🟢 Can an LPR living in the US file for a K1 Visa? If you are living in the United States as a Legal Permanent Resident can you file to get a k1 fiancé visa? The answer is No This privilege is given to US Citizens only. However, if you are an LPR living in the United States, you can petition your foreign spouse by filing an I-130 Immediate relative application. Since the US government purposely processes the LPR applications very slowly your alien spouse will likely receive the IR1 Visa.
