40 Volts instead of 5?! Phantom Power Experiment on a Cheap Microphone

The BM-100FX microphone uses cable that splits into a 5 volt USB power connector and a TRS mini plug. But the actual connection on the microphone looks like a standard XLR connector... So this begs the question: Can this microphone run on Phantom Power?... One of my viewers asked this question. I didn't know the answer, so I decided to find out! With all that power blow up the circuitry on this microphone, will it work just fine, or will something else happen?
