In this video I finally get to compare my new GPX TSE250r to a Beta X-Trainer and a KTM 300XCW. While all these machines are great, they were different in a few distinct ways. The X-Trainer was a soft plushy suspended wheelie happy machine, while the KTM was punchy and well planted. I felt the TSE was right in the middle of these bikes. The X-Trainer is meant for more slow obstacle rich riding and the KTM obviously is an enduro crushing machine. The TSE faired well with the Beta and the KTM. While I prefer the TSE suspension compared to the Beta, the KTM was notably better than the TSE, but I had not really dialed the TSE in as of this ride, but it's safe to say the KTM has better suspension. The Beta engine is noticeably punchier and buzzier without a counter balanced engine and I can see myself losing control maybe in the tight stuff. I felt the TSE engine is way more controllable and easier to manage with its linear engine. The KTM I rode had a detuned engine so it was hard to tell what it was capable of but it was a nice ride for sure! Both other riders loved the TSE engine and brakes specifically and had nothing but good things to say about it. All these bikes are great, but it's nice to know the GPX holds its own!
