A prominent Russian scientist involved with the development of hypersonic missiles has been arrested on high treason charges, according to TASS news agency. Alexander Shiplyuk was detained in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk and has been taken to Moscow's Lefortovo pre-trial detention centre. He is the third Russian scientist this summer to be arrested on suspicion of treason.
