There are many reasons why someone might choose to keep goats. On our farm they are dairy animals, but they can also be kept for meat, weed and brush control, or as little backyard companions. Dairy goats are like all other goats, only more so. Great care needs to be taken in their diet, daily milking is a necessity, and as with any animal there will inevitably be moments of heartbreak.
