I invented this Savoury Gluten Free Bread by substituting wheat with oats and water with sweet potatoes. Ideal for weight loss as it is very healthy and nutritious and full of vitamins and fibres.
Also it's very filling so you don't need to eat that much to fill satisfied.

This is a savoury recipe, not a sweet one even though i used sweet potatoes, but i don't add any sugars whatsoever nor I add any type of Fats, so very light on the caloric content too.

how to make sweet potato and oat flour bread

1 teaspoon of vinegar + 1 teaspoon of soda bicarbonate
1 teaspoon of salt
50g of flax seeds
300g of oat flour (grounded oats) + 450g of well washed sweet potatoes with skin left on
roughly chop the potatoes with skin on (for extra fibre)
grind the flax seeds in a coffee grinder
grind the potatoes in a food processor
put them in a mixing bowl
add 1 or 2 teaspoons of salt, this will start releasing the water from the potatoes. mix well
add the 300g of oat flour
mix well with your hands - the more you mix, the more water will be released, so no need to add any liquids
start adding the flax seeds + the 1 teaspoon of soda bicarbonate and make sure you incorporate them really well
gradually add all of the 50g of grounded flax seeds and mix well
add the teaspoon of vinegar in little splashes - gradually so that it spreads and mixes really well in the compost
at this point the dough is starting to form well, shape it in the form you like
add a splash more of oat flour if required
and here it is, ready to be baked
bake it in a pre-heated oven @190c/ 375F for 40 to 45 minutes
and here it is, done...
leave it to cool down for 20 minutes before slicing
it's just like bread, only there is no wheat flour
so, it's gluten free
it's delicious and very healthy
i hope you like watching these recipes as much as i like creating them...
