The Chicago Bears have officially signed LB DeMarquis Gates this morning and released LB Christian Albright. Gates played for the USFL Birmingham Stallions this spring and played very well as he tallied 62 tackles and 6.5 sacks. The Bears have been looking for linebacker depth partially due to Roquan Smith holding out, but mostly just due to a lack of depth at that position with question marks after Smith, Nicholas Morrow, Matthew Adams and Joe Thomas.
