MAKE OUR SCHOOLS A BRIGHT STAR ON THE HILL AGAIN DEBBI HIXON BROWARD COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD

Debbi Hixon is a 31 year Nationally Board Certified Broward County public school teacher running for the Broward County School Board to bring strong leadership and positive change. After teaching at both Blanche Ely and South Broward High Schools for 27 years, Debbi has been the Maritime Marine Science & Technology Magnet Coordinator at South Broward High School for the past four years.
She is a graduate of South Broward High School as are both of her children, Tom and Corey, and is the widow of Chris Hixon, the slain Athletic Director at Marjory Stoneman Douglas.

Debbi Hixon is the right person to improve our Broward schools because of her first hand knowledge of what works well, her acute awareness of what needs to be done, and her ability to make it happen.

Her goals are:
- Bring safety and security to our schools.
- Value and lift up our teachers.
- Build open and positive relationships between schools and our communities.
- Expand mental health support in the schools.
