In this video i show how to soak, activate & dry method flax seeds (linseed) in order to make them super healthy & for better nutrition. Very easy & cheap to make.

It's not easy to sprout flax /linseed seeds like any other seeds because their mucilaginous properties which means that when in contact with water they absorb it completely and become very sticky.

Sometimes it is possible to sprout them by lightly spray the seeds several times a day but they require a special container an unglazed terracotta tray or dish which i was not able to find anywhere.

I decided to try the soaking activate & dry method, it is very easy, fairly quick, super cheap - no special dishes and the end result is as good, if not better, sweeter and tastier than sprouted flax seeds.
Method:
In a jar pour 1 cup of flax seeds.
Add 1 & 1/2 cup of pure fresh water.
Mix really well for a few minutes.
Add 1 teaspoon of distilled vinegar & mix well.
Loosely cover the jar and let it rest between 4 and 12 hours max. Stir well one more time, so that the seeds don't clump up.
It should look like a gel mass as all the water gets absorbed by the seeds.
After the 12 hours, spread the seeds is a single layer on a non stick sheet or a parchment paper.
Dehydrate them at 42c / 118F for 12 hours or until fully dried.
An oven at the lowest temperature with the door ajar will also work.
You can eat these as crackers, or store them in a jar for later uses. Add them in soups, smoothies, salads, toppings and other raw food recipes.
And that's it!
Super nutritious, super simple...and it costs pennies / cents. Save the planet, eat more seeds.
