Jig Fishing River Eddies / Jigging Tips for Fisherman / Easy Fishing Tips for Beginners

I caught a good variety of fish species Jig fishing river eddies with steelhead jigs on The Grand River this fall day in 2019! I caught a Chanel Cat several Smallmouth and a gorgeous Pumpkinseed.

The jig is a versatile powerful weapon against a large variety of fish species. This video shows one way that can be easy to catch fish with a jig. In this video my jigs are tipped with either a soft plastic or dead minnows that someone else left behind. Thanks but no thanks... best to not leave rubbish behind...

The jigs I am fishing with in this video are very small (1/16 or smaller) steelhead jigs. I like steelhead jigs because they have strong hooks and also in this case the small size was allowing the bait to sink slower and tumble in the spinning current of the river eddie.
