Guilin is the place you just must see in your life. There are so many things to do here. First, we visited Elephant Hill. The entrance ticket is about 125 RMB per person. We went on top of the hill and walk around, the area is pretty big. Then, the evening we spent downtown, they have a walking street there, with food, drinks, and souvenirs.
Next day we went hiking mount Yao. We hiked up, they view is gorgeous, but it was raining and windy. Prepare to bring a light sweater wit you and snacks, but actually you can buy snacks right there as we did. They have coffee, cookies, some chinese food, etc. On our way back we had to take the cable car, it is a little bit expensive $10 per person. It worth is for sure.
Day 3, we went to Xinping. It is a little town, which has a scenic spot for 20 RMB bill background. Pretty popular place, amazing view, breathtaking rock formations. The bus ride from Guilin to Xinping was about 2 hours, and the ticket is not expensive, something like 12 RMB.
If you have more days in Guilin, there are other places to see, different caves, villages, and sometime in summer they have a huge show where people from several villages present their culture in a way of show.
