Topic: Jesus told His disciples they will be like sheep among wolves as they carried out their missions. Why would we want that as our lives? Wouldn't we rather be rich, happy, carefree? I can tell you from experience, the things that this world offers us are all temporary and can't truly fulfill what we deeply desire and what we truly need. Though we will face redemptive suffering in our journey with Jesus, it has a purpose. It's redemptive. It's the vehicle of our growth in strength, wisdom, perseverance, endurance, trust, hope, and faith. With Jesus, we transcend the pains of this world through the eternal gifts of heaven.
